Liam Gallagher teases new collaboration with John Squire

Liam Gallagher has teased he is working on something “Biblical” with John Squire.

The Oasis frontman teamed up with The Stone Roses guitarist for their eponymous album in March 2024, and the pair were spotted leaving London’s Abbey Road Studios earlier this week, sparking speculation they are working on another record.

While Liam refused to confirm directly if he and John are collaborating again, he did offer some hints.

On Wednesday (06.05.26), the day he was spotted at the iconic recording studio, Liam wrote on X: “IM A SINGER I SING SONGS THATS WHAT I DO (sic)”

The post prompted questions about a new Oasis album, but later in the day, John was also seen outside the studio, prompting fans to ask if they were there together.

But Liam told one curious X follower: “I can’t tell you what I’m doing for security reasons and the national health service what I can tell you is it’s f****** BIBLICAL(sic)”

Ahead of the release of their first album together, Liam and John insisted it wouldn’t be their only record.

Liam told Rock and Folk Magazine: “It’s a new group.

“When we do another album, and then another, we will have more of a repertoire.

“I can’t wait to hear the next songs John writes.”

John added: “I want to do more. I already have some ideas.”

Meanwhile, despite the popularity of Oasis’ comeback tour last year, Liam recently dismissed suggestions they could make another album.

Responding to a fan on X who suggested the band could tour forever without releasing another album, Liam argued that expectations would be impossible to meet.

He said the pressure to match their classic catalogue would “be too much,” joking that the band would “split up again” if they attempted a new record.

Liam has also kept the humour flowing around the ongoing James Bond theme speculation.

When asked how his supposed 007 track was progressing, he quipped that it was finished — but only once Yungblud completes his “triangle solo”.

The pair continued the bit when another fan questioned Noel’s recent studio activity, with Liam joking he’d been busy teaching Yungblud the triangle parts.

Yungblud, for his part, has made no secret of wanting to be involved in the next Bond theme.

Speaking to Kerrang!, he said he’d “love” to collaborate with both Gallagher brothers if the opportunity arose, calling a Bond song “the goal” for any British artist.

Reports suggested Oasis were among the names floated for the next 007 soundtrack, though Noel laughed off the rumour during a previous TalkSPORT appearance.

He said he hadn’t heard anything official but admitted he’d accept the offer “in a heartbeat,” insisting the Bond theme tradition “should be done by Brits.”
