Doechii teases ‘more to come’ with Lady Gaga as she reveals what it’s like to work with her

Doechii and Lady Gaga have “more to come”.

The pair recently teamed up for original song Runway, a brand‑new track for upcoming movie The Devil Wears Prada 2, and Doechii has confirmed she and Gaga have more tunes on the way.

Speaking to E! News, she said: “I don’t want to say too much, because we have more to come, me and Gaga.”

The What It Is hitmaker gushed over Gaga as an “angel” to work with, and she praised the star as “a master at her craft”.

She added: “It was amazing working with her.

“She is an angel. She is truly a master at her craft and I hope everybody is enjoying Runway.

“She is so fabulous.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed Doechii and Gaga had joined forces for Runway.

The first trailer for the upcoming film features a preview of the track, which plays over the clip with an upbeat dance rhythm.

The teaser gives fans their first listen to the collaboration ahead of the film’s release.

Gaga has made no secret of her love for Doechii’s musical talents in the past, praising her tunes as “immediately legendary”.

Speaking to British Vogue, she said: “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That’s Doechii to me.

“I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective.”

Gaga also admitted the power of Doechii’s songs struck her “to the core”.

She added: “The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision – it struck me to the core.”

After hearing Gaga’s comments, Doechii told People magazine she “audibly gasped, literally”.

She added: “I’m the biggest Lady Gaga fan, and she is so dedicated to her creativity and pushing the limits, so for a legend like that to say that about me, it really, really validated me in a humbling way.

“I think when you meet Lady Gaga, she naturally has an essence about her. You just kind of listen, and you don’t even have to ask her for anything. I think she just pours herself naturally onto people.”
