Is The Weeknd teasing a fifth collaboration with Ariana Grande?

The Weeknd has hinted that another collaboration with Ariana Grande may be on the way after revisiting their previous tracks on social media.

The 36-year-old singer – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – took to his Instagram Stories to share a screenshot listing all four of their past collaborations: Love Me Harder, off the table, Save Your Tears (Remix), and Die For You (Remix).

Alongside the post, he added five explosion emojis — a move fans quickly interpreted as a nod to their four existing songs together and a possible fifth release.

The pair has a long history of successful team‑ups.

Their first collaboration, Love Me Harder, became a major hit in 2014. They reunited on Ariana’s 2020 album Positions for Off the Table, before scoring back‑to‑back global smashes with the remixes of Save Your Tears and Die For You, both of which surged up the charts following their releases.

Ariana, 32, helped push one of The Weeknd’s biggest hits back to the top of the charts in 2023, recording a new verse for his track Die For You while she was still in the middle of filming Wicked. The updated version went on to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the time, Grande explained that she had squeezed the recording into an intense production schedule, writing, “Wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14 hour day on set. This certain exception had to be made….”

While neither artist has officially confirmed a new track, The Weeknd’s post has sparked widespread speculation that another joint single is imminent.

Meanwhile, after coming off back-to-back movies with Wicked and Wicked: For Good, Ariana has conceded it would be “healthy” for her to take a career break.

She told Vogue Japan: “I think that it would probably be healthy. I’m not used to taking breaks.

“But I do know that I grew so much from taking space from music while I was filming Wicked … But yeah, these past few years have been pretty non-stop. And by few, I mean 15.”
