Slipknot to release ‘lost’ album Look Outside Your Window in 2026

Slipknot are set to release their delayed “lost” album Look Outside Your Window next year.

Shawn “Clown” Crahan – a co-founder of the Surfacing band – insisted 2026 is “the year” when the record, which was written and recorded by Shawn, Sid Wilson, Jim Root and Corey Taylor in 2008, will finally drop.

In a Discord Q+A, he said: “Lets start with Look Outside Your Window, I know I told everyone it would be this year.

“I’m very sorry its hasn’t been.

“Things come to play that change things all the time with the art we create.

“I want you to know 2026 is the year.”

Shawn admitted he is “getting tired of waiting” to release the record himself, and pleaded with Slipknot’s fans to “have faith”.

He added: “It’s just simply time and I’m just getting tired of waiting myself. Have faith. I promise.”

Look Outside Your Window was recorded around the time the band were working on 2008 album All Hope Is Gone.

Frontman Taylor once said the record has “much more of a Radiohead vibe”.

Slipknot also look set to release new tunes in the near future, according to their drummer Eloy Casagrande.

He recently told Drummer’s Review: “We are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure.

“Since I joined the band, we have been working on some new ideas.

“We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we are always doing something. We had also some jam sessions.

“So, we have a lot of material right now. We just have to sit and put everything together, start jamming, and it’s happening. It already happened.

“It’s gonna happen in the future. So new material is coming, for sure.”
