Oasis Live ’25 was in pre-production for 14 months, video director reveals

Oasis’ video director and designer Jon Shrimpton has revealed the Oasis Live ’25 tour had been in pre-production for 14 months.

The long-awaited reunion between Noel and Liam Gallagher was announced in August 2024, with the tour beginning in the UK and Ireland this July, and Shrimpton has shared Oasis Live ’25 had been in the making for well over a year.

On social media, he wrote: “And there it was …. gone!

“After 14 months of pre-production, lots of well-kept secrets, and five months of some of the most incredible sights and sounds I’ve ever seen at a stadium show, here we are.”

Oasis Live ’25 concluded on Sunday (23.11.25) in São Paulo, Brazil after the Britpop legends performed 41 shows across 142 days, having started rehearsing for the tour in May 2025.

Shrimpton said: “The last night of the … it would be fair to say; culturally and financially successful Oasis Live ‘25 world tour, tonight, in São Paulo.”

Shrimpton called the tour a “genuine career high point” for him, and recalled “being the video director on this momentous event”.

He added: “Travelling around the world, in the eye of the storm. I’ve been genuinely honoured to work with the most incredible, talented, ego-free, happy crew that has ever been assembled, and there’s been nothing but love from everything I’ve seen written about the show.

“Lots of love and respect to @paul_normandale for his beautiful show design, and to @universalpixelsvideo for providing the marvellous video toys, and putting up with my OCD nonsense, and unreasonable requests!”

Following the end of Oasis Live ’25, the band announced there would “now be a pause” for the group.

Oasis wrote on Instagram: “And so it came to pass.

“The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.

“There will now be a pause for a period of reflection. Oasis (sic).”

Despite dubbing the tour “biblical”, Liam has seemingly ruled out making new music with Oasis.

Responding to a fan asking for new music, Liam wrote on X: “New music is for W******.”

He added: “It’s not, I honestly don’t see the point. It won’t be as good as the old stuff. I’m quite happy singing the old stuff I’m not one of those w****** that need to keep pushing it forward or sideways or backwards in some cases, NOSTALGIA forever.”
