2000trees Festival 2026 lineup revealed with Alkaline Trio as first headliner

Alkaline Trio are headlining 2000trees Festival in 2026.

The legendary punk band – known for tracks like Stupid Kid, Time To Waste and Mercy Me – will make their only UK festival appearance of the year during the event at Upcote Farm in Gloucestershire.

The group have been revealed as the Thursday night headliners in the first lineup announcement.

They said in a statement: “We are looking forward to returning to the UK to play 2000Trees this summer.

“We love the festival’s independent spirit and can’t wait to make our return. It has been entirely too long. Can’t wait!”

The band is made up of longtime members Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano, and drummer Atom Willard.

They formed in the mid-90s, and released their 10th album Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs – their first full length since 2018 – last year.

Their last four LPs – including 2010’s This Addiction, 2013’s My Shame Is True and 2018’s Is This Thing Cursed? – all landed in the top four of the UK Rock charts.

The Friday and Saturday night headliners are yet to be confirmed.

The festival will run from Wednesday, July 8 to Saturday July 11.

Other bands unveiled in the first wave include Pup, The Dirty Nil, Bad Nerves, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats, Glassjaw, Dinosaur Pile-Up and High Vis.

2000trees organiser and head booker James Scarlett said: “We’re beyond stoked to kick off 2000trees Festival 2026 with one of the strongest first announcement line-ups we’ve ever released – not to mention our biggest Wednesday line-up to date.”

He urged fans to “get in quick” with four-day tickets already selling fast.

He added: “We have a long requested returning headliner in the shape of Alkaline Trio, some returning 2000trees much loved acts like Dinosaur Pile-Up, High Vis, PUP, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats and The Dirty Nil.

“As well as some first time Trees future heroes in the making like Pinkshift, Nothing, Banks Arcade, Scowl and House of Protection. “A word of warning from me – there’s only a handful of 4-Day tickets left – so if you want to join us for the best early-entry day of any UK rock festival, get in quick. You’ve been warned!”
