Zach Bryan shatters US concert attendance record with historic Michigan Stadium show

Zach Bryan has made history with the largest ticketed concert audience in US history.

The landmark performance took place on September 27, at Michigan Stadium, and drew in 112,408 fans.

The previous attendance record was held by George Strait, who performed for 110,905 fans in Texas in 2024.

The gig as part of Bryan’s Quittin’ Time Tour, marked the first-ever full-scale concert at the iconic venue known as The Big House, which is the largest stadium in America.

The 29-year-old singer-songwriter delivered a 27-song set that spanned his discography, including hits from his latest album The Great American Bar Scene. Special guests added to the night’s magic, with John Mayer joining Bryan for a rendition of the Grateful Dead’s Friend of the Devil, and Michigan natives The War and Treaty performing their 2023 collaboration Hey Driver.

Addressing the crowd, Bryan remarked onstage: “This might be the craziest thing I’ve ever done.”

The show also set a merchandise sales record, reportedly bringing in $5 million.

Meanwhile, the Pink Skies singer recently performed with none other than Bruce Springsteen.

The pair were joined by Kings of Leon rocker Caleb Followill to duet on The Boss’ 1982 classic Atlantic City. The Born in the U.S.A hitmaker appeared again at the end of the show at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium in July to perform Revival.
