Good Charlotte and Sublime announced for Slam Dunk Festival 2026

Good Charlotte and Sublime have been announced for Slam Dunk Festival 2026.

The upcoming event – which is the UK’s biggest independent rock festival – has revealed the first acts for its 20th anniversary weekend set to take place at Hertfordshire’s Hatfield Park and Temple Newsam in Leeds on May 23 and 24 respectively.

Pop punk legends Good Charlotte will headline the event with a European exclusive performance, which also marks their first return to the UK since a gig at London’s Alexandra Palace in 2019.

The band said in a statement: “We are excited to come back and play the UK for the first time in seven years, and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Slam Dunk will be a great time.

“Kicking off this next chapter of GC in the UK this way will be a lot of fun and a great precursor for what is still to come!

“Some of our fav shows in our career have been in the UK, and this will be no exception.”

Meanwhile, ska punk pioneers Sublime – who are working with Travis Barker on their first new album in almost three decades – will play their first ever UK show.

Enigmatic group President – who are rumoured to feature Busted’s Charlie Simpson – have also been announced, while Taking Back Sunday will deliver a “special 20th anniversary celebration” of their 2006 album Louder Now.

Other acts confirmed in the first wave include Dashboard Confessional, Goldfinger, Motion City Soundtrack and The Menzingers.

Slam Dunk founder Ben Ray added: “When I started the festival 20 years ago, I had no idea it would get to the milestone of 20 years, let alone be the size that it has grown to.

“I am overwhelmed by the continued support for the event, both from the dedicated fan base who come every single year, to all the bands that keep coming back to play! A massive thank you to all!”

Ticket information and pages are set to launch on Thursday (25.09.25), and they will go on sale at 10am on September 27.
