Cardi B’s long-awaited second studio album Am I The Drama? is finally here

Cardi B has released her long-awaited second studio album, Am I The Drama?.

Arriving seven years after her acclaimed 2018 debut Invasion of Privacy, the star-studded collection is finally out and fittingly follows some courtroom drama.

A matter of weeks ago, the WAP hitmaker was cleared of assault and battery in a civil case brought against her by a security guard.

The high-drama court case was turned into many memes on social media, as the star was probed about whether her wigs were her real hair and the length of her nails.

Emani Ellis had alleged Cardi – who has Kulture, seven, Wave, three, and 11-month-old Blossom with estranged husband Offset – had spit on her face, used racial slurs and cut her face with her fingernail in her lawsuit, which she denied.

The album also lands shortly after the 32-year-old rapper announced she is pregnant with baby number four, her first with 31-year-old footballer Stefon Diggs.

Cardi previously explained the delay to the record was waiting on the many featured artists – including Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Megan Thee Stallion, Cash Cobain, Kehlani, Summer Walker and Tyla – to send in their parts.

Cardi recently admitted delivering the record has felt like preparing to birth a child.

Speaking on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the she said: “I am so overwhelmed… It’s like I’m pushing another baby.

“It was completely completed and this is what’s missing out there. I touch on everything I wanted to touch.”

Cardi will bring the drama to the stage with her first-ever US arena tour, the Little Miss Drama Tour, which kicks off on February 11 in Palm Desert, California.

Cardi will headline major venues including Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena before wrapping in Atlanta on April 17.
