The refurbishment of the home of Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has been completed.
Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine’s new home on the Queen’s Sandringham estate is now ready for them and their 10-month-old son Prince George to move in, after a nine-month and multi-million pound refurbishment, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Anmer Hall is a 10-bedroom Georgian mansion with an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and a garden room designed by Prince Charles’ favourite architect.
The building’s original woodstore has also been converted into a nanny flat and the driveway re-routed with trees, railings and fencing to keep William and Catherine’s young son safe.
The newly refurbished property will not be the royal family’s only home, however, as their main residence is a 20-room apartment in Kensington Palace and they also visit a number of other royal quarters across the UK throughout the year including Windsor Castle and the Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire.
An official source also informed the newspaper that the bill for the refurbishment is being paid for by the Royal Family.
