Roger Daltrey set to headline Heritage Live Festival at Essex’s Audley End

Roger Daltrey is set to rock Essex’s Audley End House and Gardens as part of the Heritage Live Festival series.

The Who legend will be accompanied by his nine-piece band – including guitarist Simon Townshend (brother of his bandmate Pete) – in the grounds of the grand mansion in Saffron Walden on August 1 to perform hits by the legendary rock group and from his glittering solo career.

Giles Cooper from Heritage Live said: “Roger Daltrey is a true legend and we are so excited to welcome one of the greatest names in the history of rock to the stunning grounds of Audley End. This will undoubtedly be a gig that is etched in our memories for many years to come!”

The ‘Pinball Wizard’ hitmaker, 80, will be supported by Britpop bands Ocean Colour Scene and Cast.

Tickets for the Heritage Live Festival show will be available on presale on Wednesday 5th February at 9am. Customers MUST pre-register at https://arep.co/p/rogerdaltrey for presale access. Tickets will then go on general sale on Friday 7th February at 9am from AXS.com/heritagelive.

Roger is already hitting the road for a UK solo tour this April and May, which will seem him perform a mix of acoustic and semi-acoustic versions of The Who classics, solo hits and rare gems accompanied by his backing band.

The live set will be followed by one of the star’s popular Q+A sessions with fans.

Roger’s latest solo gig news comes after The Who announced they are reuniting for a pair of Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The singer – who founded the fundraising concert series in 2000 and is still an Honorary Patron today – and guitarist Pete’s last Who gigs were a pair of TCT gigs at the iconic venue in March 2024, and the ‘Baba O’Riley’ hitmakers will return to the iconic venue on March 27 and March 31.

Tickets for the Teenager Cancer Trust shows go on sale at 9am GMT on Friday (31.01.25) via www.gigsandtours.com, www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.royalalberthall.com.
