Katy Perry makes light of gig-goers leaving her festive gig early

Katy Perry made light of hundreds of fans walking out of her Jingle Bell Ball concert in New York City.

The ‘Hot N Cold’ hitmaker seemingly assumed it was the freezing weather making gig-goers leave Madison Square Garden on Friday night (13.12.24), but it turns out they were trying to make the last trains out of the city.

She quipped: “Hi everyone. I know, I know, it’s crazy. It’s so late, it’s so cold outside. You had way too much sugar.

“You don’t know whether to stay or go, or be in or out, or hot or cold. Just make up your mind then!”

The 40-year-old pop star played to a star-studded crowd, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mckenna Grace, Martha Stewart, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Daryl Sabara, Gracie Abrams, and James Charles.

Katy played 12 songs, but many of them were shortened, and the singer ended the night with fan-favourite ‘Firework’.

Meanwhile, the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker recently declared that she has entered her “zero f****” 40s.

Katy – who has four-year-old daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom – celebrated her milestone in October and admitted that with getting older, she’s learned to care less about what other people think.

The ‘Teenage Dream’ hitmaker told The Sun newspaper: “I guess I did step into what I call a ‘zero f**** 40′.

“A therapist told me one day, ‘No one can make you feel something about yourself that you already don’t feel about yourself’.

“So if someone says something about me that isn’t true, it doesn’t affect me because I know who I am now. I know myself better than ever.

“I care a lot about the things that are worth caring about but if someone’s not being kind or saying untrue things, then it doesn’t really matter.”
