Perrie Edwards nervous to make debut live solo performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard

Perrie Edwards is nervous about making her solo live debut at Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard.

The former Little Mix star, 30, is set to take to the stage at the music extravaganza at London’s Wembley Stadium on 16 June 2024, but she admits it will be weird stepping out on stage without her former bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Speaking on Capital FM, she said: “I think I just have to remind myself that it’s just the initial getting out there, like on stage.

“So, the first few seconds of being on stage I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh I need to breathe so I don’t pass out. But, as soon as I’m like one minute into the song – or not even, like a few seconds in – and I see all the fans and everyone having a good time, I’m just like, ‘Oh yes’, I love it!”

As well as Perrie, fans will be able to see a myriad of dazzling pop acts at the event.

On Tuesday morning (30.04.24), more huge names were announced to play Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard on Capital Breakfast by Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby.

RAYE, Meghan Trainor, Becky Hill, Aitch, Sugababes, Ella Henderson and Paul Russell were confirmed this morning on Capital Breakfast, following yesterday’s announcement that David Guetta, Perrie, Sabrina Carpenter, Benson Boone, Rudimental, Jax Jones, Bradley Simpson and Caity Baser are on the bill.

Ashley Tabor-King CBE, Founder and Executive President of Global said: “As it’s the first Ball with the all new Capital Breakfast team, it is always going to be a very special event. With more huge artists added to the line up this morning on Capital Breakfast, this promises to be one of the best Summertime Balls ever! The whole team at Capital and Global can’t wait to enjoy this with our listeners.”

James Rea, Chief Broadcasting and Content Officer of Global, added: “We can’t wait to be in Wembley Stadium, alongside 80,000 Capital listeners with millions watching along on Global Player and socials, enjoying the amazing sets from the biggest artists in the world right now! Thank you to the incredible teams at Capital for putting on the UK’s biggest summer party!”
