Nicole Scherzinger wishes she had “enjoyed” her time in the Pussycat Dolls.

The 45-year-old singer shot to fame as a member of the girl group in 2004 alongside bandmates Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton but admitted that she was “always struggling” during their heyday because she was always worried about their future.

Speaking on the ‘How to Fail’ podcast, she told host Elizabeth Day: “I wish I was in the moment to enjoy it because I really didn’t as much.

“I think the girls knew that too, that I was always struggling. It was crazy. I was so young, we were all so young, and my brain, my neurotic brain just never shut off.

“So it was I wasn’t really living ever in the present.

“I think that was my biggest failure back then I was always thinking of the future of what’s the next hit? How can we make this better? What are we doing next. And that was probably my biggest failure back then was not enjoying the fruits of our, our labor, and we worked so hard.”

The dance troupe enjoyed chart-topping hits like ‘Don’t Cha?’ and ‘When I Grow Up’ before splitting up in 2010 but former ‘X Factor’ judge Nicole insisted that she and the girls are still “like a sisterhood” and is “really proud” of all they achieved together.

She said: “But I love the girls, we were really a sisterhood. Always will be, I believe, and we are one of the most successful groups internationally in history. 55 million records sold.

“I was really proud of the work, and of the music that we did .”
