Michelle Keegan got whiplash filming Corrie exit

Michelle Keegan got whiplash filming her ‘Coronation Street’ death.

The 26-year-old beauty was left terrified filming dramatic scenes in which her character Tina McIntyre is pushed to her death by a mystery assailant.

She said: "It was so scary, I was crying my eyes out, absolutely crying, saying, ‘I can’t do it.’ "

Tina plunges from a balcony at the builders’ yard in Weatherfield next week, and even though Michelle’s fiancé Mark Wright was on set to support her, the actress struggled with her fear of heights.

Michelle explained: "I took it slowly. I started doing it crouched, going back and eventually did it stood up.

"The scene was awful. Your head goes back so hard I had whiplash for a week."

Michelle also revealed how her final scenes left her emotionally drained as her character realises her married lover Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) has chosen his wife, Carla (Alison King), over her.

She told The Sun newspaper: "We’d been filming for three weeks solid and we were screaming and crying, screaming and crying – and your body feels the emotion."

Four characters will be suspected of Tina’s murder and viewers will find out the identity of the killer in next Tuesday’s (27.05.14) episode.

The potential murderers include Tina’s lover Peter, his wife Carla, Carla’s brother Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) and soap villain Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
