Ola Jordan is "absolutely gutted" Sir Bruce Forsyth has quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The professional ballroom star described the veteran entertainer as a huge part of the show’s success, and while she hasn’t had a chance to talk to him since his exit, she knows he has made the "right" decision for himself.

She told BANG Showbiz at The Fragrance Foundation Awards 2014 at The Brewery in London: "I’m absolutely gutted, he was a massive part of the show and I just love Brucie, we had a special bond so I’m going to miss him a lot.

"I haven’t seen him and I haven’t spoken to him, but I wish him well. It’s the right thing to do for him."

She also offered words of support for Claudia Winkleman, who will replaced Bruce alongside Tess Daly for the show’s next series, and said it will be "great" to see two female presenters.

She added: "Great, good luck to her, it’s massive shoes to fill. I’m feeling for her.

"It’s a massive show to take on. Shes going to be brilliant. Two girls together will be great."
