Jessica Simpson insists she has no regrets about the past.
The 33-year-old star – who found fame at 19 and split from her first husband, Nick Lachey, in 2006 after four years of marriage – had a turbulent love life before she met her current fiancé Eric Johnson, but she is very grateful for all of her experiences and claims she wouldn’t change a thing.
Asked what she would tell her younger self, the fashion mogul told NBC’s ‘Today’ show, in a new interview that will air in the US on Monday (19.05.14): "Hold on. I think that more than anything, I would just tell myself to get ready, saddle up, this is going to be a long ride."
Weight Watchers spokesperson Jessica, who has two-year-old daughter Maxwell and 11-month-old son Ace with Eric, also previously endured criticism for gaining weight, but she is glad that she decided to pursue a career in the spotlight.
She said: "I couldn’t be happier to have this and I feel very blessed, and my kids inspire me every day to be a better and harder-working mom."
