Jodi Albert was starstuck meeting Britain’s Prince Harry.
‘The Big Reunion’ star couldn’t believe her luck when she and her husband Kian Egan were invited to the royal’s Sentebale charity bash in London last week and was looking forward to meeting the 29-year-old prince in person.
But Jodi was so nervous on the night that she wasn’t able to utter a single word when Harry came over to shake her hand and left the Westlife star to do all the talking.
Speaking at The Fragrance Foundation Awards at The Brewery in London last night (15.05.14), she told BANG Showbiz: "I’m a huge fan of the royal family so it was a dream come true. I had this moment where I was a little bit starstruck and really couldn’t talk. I had told Kian, ‘You just talk, if he asks us anything I’m not sure I’m going to be able speak!’
"We had a picture. I stood there and I smiled for ages and he was just looking at me. I don’t really get starstruck that often, but for me the royal family are so incredible. All I could think was, ‘Oh my God, my dad is going to be so proud!’ "
The Girl Thing singer denied rumours newly-single Harry had been flirting with soul singer Joss Stone, who was performing at the plush party held to mark the 10-year anniversary of the children’s charity, and says the pair were simply having fun on the dancefloor.
She added: "He was such a lovely guy. He’s just so down-to-earth and he’s got such a big heart. He makes everybody in the room feel comfortable."
And Jodi is so proud of her photo with her favourite royal that she plans to hang it up in pride of place in her house.
She laughed: "I definitely think it’s going to be one for the wall in our house. So I can tell everyone, ‘Oh, that was when I met Prince Harry!’ "
Jodi was joined on the red carpet by Alesha Dixon, newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and ‘Strictly’ stars Ola and James Jordan.
