‘Hollyoaks Favourites’ will continue to air on Fridays.
The Channel 4 soap’s spin-off show, which has featured classic episodes, has been on air while the main programme is on a break after running out of episodes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And while ‘Hollyoaks’ is to return to our screens on Monday (07.09.20), the classic episodes will still be shown on the newly-named ‘Hollyoaks Friday Favourites’.
The first episode of the newly-titled show will air on Friday September 11th and will see Max Cunningham (Matt Littler) in hospital after suffering a heart attack, and Louise Summers (Roxanne McKee) is furious at Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) for taking drugs on their date.
The main show will return next week with the wedding of Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) and Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams).
But the nuptials could end in disaster as the soap’s July trailer saw Mitchell’s father Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint) vowing to sabotage the spectacle, despite the best efforts from Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) who pleads with him to see past his beliefs for one day.
At the reception, Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) sets his sights on party guest Grace Black (Tamara Wall) while juggling his two dates, Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji) and Martine Deveraux (Kelle Bryan).
And it may not be a happy-ever-after for Mitchell after it was revealed last month that Imran has quit the soap.
A rep for the show said: "Imran Adams will be leaving ‘Hollyoaks’ later this year at the end of his current contract."
