Danny Miller apologises for ‘horrible woman’ tweet

‘Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has apologised after calling a Greggs employee a "horrible woman" on Twitter.

The 29-year-old actor – who plays Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap – decided to issue an apology after initially taking to the micro-blogging platform to discuss his anxiety issues and to reveal the details of an encounter at the bakery.

Danny’s now-deleted tweet read: "Suffering with a bit of anxiety today and so not my normal self I feel.

"Then some s***** woman working @GreggsOfficial "cheer up don’t be so miserable. Smile!!" "You know what, Karen… Why don’t you F*** off you insensitive, horrible woman"

"Be nice. Or don’t say anything. (sic)"

After deleting his original post, Danny offered an explanation for what he said.

The soap star tweeted: "Taken the tweet down because it was unfairly worded and I was just wound up, so wasn’t a true representation of what I wanted to say. Which was;

"Please think before you tell someone to ‘Cheer up and don’t be miserable’.

"They just might be.

"Sorry & thanks for the love [love heart emoji] (sic)"

Meanwhile, Danny recently confessed he’s struggled with distancing himself from the ‘Emmerdale’ crew.

The actor didn’t realise how difficult it would be to do his job without breaking the social distancing rules set by the government.

Asked about the challenge of returning to work after the coronavirus lockdown, Danny said: "First and foremost, it’s the distance. We’re having to abide by new rules that have been put in place.

"Believe it or not it’s a lot more difficult for us to do the everyday work. On top of that we’re in charge of cleaning and looking after our own props."
