Paddy McGuinness lands new show I Can See Your Voice

Paddy McGuinness is set to host the BBC’s new singing show ‘I Can See Your Voice’.

Along with his pal Freddie Flintoff, the former ‘Take Me Out’ host already co-hosts ‘Top Gear’ and the hilarious duo recently landed voiceover work for ‘Total Wipeout: Freddie and Paddy Takeover’ on the broadcaster, and now Paddy is set to present the brand new BBC One music game show next year.

The series will see contestants battle it out to win a top prize by guessing which singers are able to sing or not, but without hearing them sing a single note.

Instead, there will be a panel of celebrity experts on hand, who are joined each week by a different singing superstar.

The show is already a huge success in South Korea and it’s hoped it will match up to the success of ITV’s ‘The Masked Singer’ which has proved to be a hit with viewers in the UK.

Paddy, 46, said: "A show like this doesn’t come along very often. It’s bonkers, silly and the ultimate family night in.

"Everyone can play along at home and I am looking forward to welcoming the good and the bad to our stage.

"Here’s to making it the one to watch in 2021."

Charlotte Moore, Director BBC Content, said: "This addictive, fun and immersive new entertainment series will offer BBC One viewers jaw-dropping reveals and gives the whole family a chance to get involved in this compelling new guessing game."

Kate Phillips, Controller Entertainment Commissioning for the BBC, added: "I Can See Your Voice is a riot, a funny and captivating show with so many incredible moments within a carousel of reveals. It’s addictive viewing."
