Dianne Buswell confirms Strictly pros to isolate in hotel

Dianne Buswell has confirmed Strictly Come Dancing’s professional dancers will isolate in a hotel this year to perform group numbers.

BBC bosses were said to be in talks to host the pros at a hotel during the upcoming series to minimise public disruption during the coronavirus pandemic, and now the 31-year-old dancer has revealed she and her co-stars will be living, training in such an establishment, and she cannot wait.

Appearing on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (20.07.20), she said: "We’ll be all getting together in a hotel and we’ll be doing all our routines, all our pro numbers, together. It’s gonna be a lot of fun actually. "I think we’re all very excited for it."

Dianne believes the show will be "1,000 per cent ‘Strictly’" and will still have its "sparkle", despite this year’s alterations.

She added: "I’m so excited to start ‘Strictly’ again. It’s one of those things where every single year I cannot wait to get back into the studio.

"Obviously this year will be slightly different, but I think the quality of ‘Strictly’ and the sparkle of ‘Strictly’ is still going to be there. And it’s still going to be 1,000 per cent ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and that’s what we all need at the moment. We need a bit of sparkle. All us professionals cannot wait to get started again."But ‘Strictly’ pro Anton du Beke previously admitted he hopes he and his co-stars will not have to quarantine in a hotel.

He said: "Potentially, we will end up in a hotel for a couple of weeks or a month. That’s what has been spoken about and has been provisionally pencilled in.

"Everything else is contingencies but we’re waiting for instructions and the situation is massively fluid at the moment, so we will see what happens.

"It will be lovely to be with my ‘Strictly’ family – they are terrific and I love them all – but without Hannah and the children will be difficult, especially after having all this time together.

"I’m hoping we’re not going to have to do it but we will wait and see."The BBC previously confirmed this year’s ‘Strictly’ will go ahead, but admitted the show will have a "slightly shorter run" than usual due to the pandemic.
