Katya Jones can’t wait to be reunited with her ex Neil Jones on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former couple – who are still married after their split in August 2019 following 11 years together – have remained close, and she’s missed him during the coronavirus lockdown.
She told Mirror Online: "We FaceTime all the time. He’s showing me all his new toys and projects and things like that.
"We’re really best friends. It was our birthdays in May and we both made lovely videos for each other etc.
"So it’s nice. We love dancing together so I can’t wait to get back dancing."
BBC bosses recently confirmed the series will go ahead this year, but with a "slightly shorter run" than usual. Katya was married to Neil – with whom she shares pet dog Crumble – for five years before their breakup, and while divorce proceedings are on hold due to the pandemic, they are in "no rush".
The 31-year-old dancer has kept in touch with former ‘Strictly’ champion Joanne Clifton and musical theatre star Sasha Latoya during lockdown, and she’s keen to see Neil again.
She added: "We have fun all the time. We share our dog.
"When the support bubble opened up I’ve been visiting the girls a few times. They’re my support bubble of course."
Meanwhile, Katya has signed up to celebrity messaging service Cameo and has been offering fans personalised videos for just £33.20 per clip.
According to The Sun newspaper, in some of her videos, Katya can be seen performing the ‘Strictly’ theme song and wishing fans happy birthdays.
In one clip, she said: "I know what a lovely mummy you are to your daughter, you take her to theatres. Keep dancing, keep smiling, have an amazing birthday."
