Scarlett Moffatt convinced dinosaurs still exist

Scarlett Moffatt is convinced dinosaurs are still roaming Earth.

The 29-year-old TV star believes the pre-historic beasts still exist and the Loch Ness Monster is one of them, as she thinks it looks like a diplodocus dinosaur.

Scott Dobinson, Scarlett’s boyfriend, asked her on her ‘Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe’ podcast: "Please promise me now you’re not going to suggest that Nessie is an alien because if it is, then I’m giving up.

"I’m literally leaving this room ’cause everything is aliens with you."

She replied: "Well I actually think. I think it’s a dinosaur…

"Have you ever seen the photos of Loch Ness? If you haven’t by the way Google it. They look like diplodocus but in the water."

The legend of the Loch Ness Monster dates back to the sixth century when a man was supposedly drowned by a mysterious creature in the Scottish Highlands.

Since then, there have been a number of ‘sightings’ of the Scottish serpent and sightings of the beast reached new highs last year with 18 in total.

Though no one has been able to prove the creature is real, it’s often described as large, long-necked, and with one or more humps protruding from the water.

Scarlett added: "These sightings have been going on for thousands of years and the first written account of Nessie was 1,500 years ago.

"And you can’t deny it because it was in the biography of a monk."

Last September, researchers from New Zealand claimed that the Loch Ness Monster could be a large eel, and took DNA samples from the loch to test their theory.

However, they found no evidence of a pre-historic marine reptile.
