Kevin Clifton fears for Stacey Dooley’s life

Kevin Clifton fears for Stacey Dooley’s life when she is working on her dangerous documentaries.

The 37-year-old professional dancer – who met his girlfriend on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2018 – has always been terrified for the 33-year-old filmmaker’s life when she travels to dangerous territories to film her BBC shows, and now that Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are beginning to ease, he is worried again.

Speaking on podcast ‘Spill The Tea’ with Debbie McGee, Kevin admitted: "She’s very brave. All I can say to her is just, ‘Please be careful. Don’t go too far to get some conversation you want or something. It’s not worth it. Just come back to me in one piece.’"

Stacey began her career in 2008 when she appeared in the documentary ‘Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts’, and went on to land her own show ‘Stacey Dooley Investigates’ the following year.

Last year, Stacey travelled to Syria to meet a camp full of Islamic State brides and she has also been to Nigeria to visit would-be suicide bombers who escaped Boko Haram.

During the course of filming, she has investigated issues such as child exploitation and sex offenders and sex tracking.

Meanwhile, Stacey previously admitted she would like to have kids with the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro, but worries about bringing children into the world due to the many issues she has witnessed in her line of work.

She gushed: "He is an angel. He is the kindest man I’ve met. His temperament is very chilled and he would be an amazing father. I think I want to have kids I’m sort of back and forth.

"I love the idea of having a gang, a unit, an us against the world. I love all that. And I would love to take care of someone. But I’m also quite morbid and because I’ve seen so much sh*t, I think what am I bringing them into."
