Police called as trespassers break into EastEnders set

A group of trespassers broke into the ‘EastEnders’ set and entered the Queen Vic.

The trio filmed themselves walking inside the fictional boozer, during which one of the three shouted "get out of my pub", and the footage also showed them heading into the Minute Mart at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.

The group posted the video on their YouTube page, UrbeXUntold, and captioned the clip: "Sneaking Into The EastEnders Film Set! We Got Caught And Escaped".

In the video, one of the trio said: "Right, guys. It’s 5am and we’re going for a little look around the old ‘EastEnders’ set.

"We know we’re going to get caught quickly, but …"

They were soon caught by security, who asked them: "Are you one of these YouTube lot then?"

One group member replied: "Yeah, yeah. We thought we’d try our luck. We knew we would get caught quick. Where’s the way out?

"You guys are fast, so quick."

A security guard said: "The police are on their way."

The BBC told The Sun newspaper: "We do not comment on security matters."

It’s not known what date the trio broke into the Albert Square set but the video was uploaded last Friday (26.06.20).

Earlier this week, the soap’s stars returned to filming on the set following an enforced break due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The show is currently off air after running out of episodes due to the break.

But fans are still getting their ‘EastEnders’ fix thanks to spin-off show ‘Secrets From the Square’, in which Stacey Dooley interviews cast members, on Mondays, and the show is airing classic episodes every Tuesday.
