Marcus Bentley names his favourite Big Brother housemate

Marcus Bentley has named Nikki Grahame as his all-time favourite housemate in ‘Big Brother’.

The 52-year-old actor – who narrated the show from 2000 until its final series in 2018 – "fell in love" with Nikki on the iconic series, describing her as a "funny little character".

Asked to name his favourite housemate, Marcus told Metro.co.uk: "It’s Nikki Grahame – she was such a diva, such a sort of, ‘Oh my God, who is this person?’ Literally. ‘Oh, she’s tantruming, what a diva’.

"What funny little character, but of course you had this soft sort of vulnerable side and I just fell in love with her, because of all those things.

"She completely irritated the life of me at the same time! She touched every emotion in me."

Nikki, 38, first appeared on the show back in 2006, when she became famous for her rants in the Diary Room.

The TV star subsequently appeared on ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ in 2010, and was a so-called time warp housemate in 2015.

Speaking about Nikki, Marcus recalled: "She was in [‘Ultimate Big Brother’] and there was a moment in there when she was discussing that she suffered from anorexia, very well publicised.

"She had a moment with Vanessa Feltz there in the house towards the end, where she was talking about her life and, honest to God, talking about it now, I feel a lump in my throat.

"She was so vulnerable and what she’d been through and all of these sort of diva-ish, sort of, you know, childish tantrums and cutting wit.

"You know, and fun, but she had this vulnerable side – and I think for me, she just pressed every single button for me. If push comes to shove, Nikki Grahame is my all-time favourite."
