Ross Mendham says Dragons’ Den experience has been a ‘roller-coaster’

Ross Mendham’s post-‘Dragons’ Den’ business life has been "an emotional roller-coaster".

The Barenaked Foods’ managing director starred on the BBC show back in August 2013, when he pitched his business idea for a low-carb alternative to traditional pasta to the programme’s panel of experts.

Ross – whose flagship Barenaked Noodles are made using the Asian-grown konjac plant – shared: "Since I first featured on Dragons’ Den it’s been an emotional roller-coaster and as with any business, it’s been challenging to get to the top.

"Even when you get investment, success is not guaranteed. But with the hard work and determination that I showed in the Den and together with Peter Jones’ team, we have managed to take Barenaked Foods to where it is today."

Ross’ appearance on the hit show – which is featured in a new weekly series called ‘Dragons’ Den Best Ever Pitches’ – prompted supportive messages from people all over the world.

And he’s admitted that pitching his idea in front of Peter, Duncan Bannatyne, Kelly Hoppen, Deborah Meaden and Piers Linney has proven to be a life-changing moment.

Ross shared: "I said world domination and I won’t stop until my products are sold worldwide!

"It’s been a life-changing experience and I’m grateful for the opportunity the BBC and producers of the show gave me. It changed my life."

Ross’ appearance on the show will feature on ‘Dragons’ Den Best Ever Pitches’ on June 28, when the last of the series’ six episodes will air.
