CBeebies launches The Baby Club at Home

CBeebies is launching ‘The Baby Club at Home’ during lockdown.

Presenters Giovanna Fletcher and Nigel Clarke will host bespoke, six-minute mini episodes of ‘The Baby Club’ from their own homes as they look to support parents amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The spin-off show will air from June 6th on CBeebies every Saturday and Sunday – hosted alternatively by Giovanna and Nigel – for a 10-week run.

The programme will feature nursery rhymes, catchy songs and creative ideas for activities to do together.

There will also be self-shot footage of families from across the UK joining in and singing along.

Giovanna – who has kids Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and 20-month-old Max, with husband Tom Fletcher – said: "To be able to still bring some joy and support for parents across the country during this time means the world to me and I have absolutely loved seeing the little ones enjoying themselves in the self-shot footage too!"

Nigel explained how important it is for the broadcaster to provide another resource for parents "during these strange times".

He added: "It is so important to give parents somewhere to turn to for ideas and encouragement during these strange times and I’m really proud to be a part of it.

"It was actually a lot of fun to film this from home, so I hope parents and their babies have a blast joining in."

‘The Baby Cub at Home’ will air on CBeebies every weekend at 9.25am from June 6th, while episodes from the first and second series of ‘The Baby Club’ are available on the BBC iPlayer.
