Jamie Laing hoping for Strictly Come Dancing call

Jamie Laing is eager for another chance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 31-year-old reality star was forced to pull out of the Latin and ballroom competition last year after injuring his foot whilst filming for the launch show, but Jamie is now hoping BBC bosses will invite him back to compete in the next series.

Appearing on ‘This Morning’, he said: "I’ll sit by my phone and wait. I think with that amazing show so many people want to do it. I had my chance last year, and obviously I didn’t do that well. It was the quickest exit ever.

"But if they come calling this year, of course I would love to dance and I would love to do it. But I just don’t know at the moment."

The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star suffered his injury – a painful ligament tear – during the group dance with partner Oti Mabuse.

Speaking about the incident, he previously said: "We’ve been practising this dance for three and a half weeks and I [danced] into the wonderful [Oti Mabuse] and as I popped up in the air like a jack in the box. It felt like someone had hit me on the back of it [foot] with a belt.

"There was popping in my foot. It’s like stepping on glass and I grabbed Oti and said ‘Oti, something’s happened in my foot!’

"And she just went ‘Dance!’ and I went ‘Okay!’ Because I think with those dancers they go through pain and struggles the entire time, the show must go on! And being British, you just smile and go through the entire thing."
