Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing to co-host podcast

Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing are set to co-host a new BBC podcast.

The ‘Six Degrees Of Jamie And Spencer’ podcast will see the ‘Made In Chelsea’ stars track down big-name celebs by asking friends and strangers to open up their contact books to help them reach a huge star in just six calls.

Spencer, 31, is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column as saying: "I’m really pleased to be working with the BBC on my new podcast.

"Sadly they didn’t tell me I’d be doing it with Jamie but needs must."

The BBC Radio 1 podcast will kick off on Thursday (28.05.20) with the posh duo aiming to contact ‘After Life’ creator Ricky Gervais with a little help from their pals.

Spencer and his wife Vogue Williams are hoping to become big TV stars, and would "love" to follow in the footsteps of couple Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan by co-hosting ‘This Morning’ one day.

Vogue recently said: "Presenting a show like ‘This Morning’ with Spencer would be top. He would do it if it’s something interesting like that, he’d enjoy it. We’re looking at more things to do together.

"I’d happily take over from Richard and Judy. I’d love that."

It comes shortly after their reality series was axed by E4.

The married couple – who have 18-month-old son Theodore together, and are expecting their second child – launched reality show ‘Spencer, Vogue and Baby Too’ in January 2019, to document their journey into parenthood.
