Harry Redknapp joins Celebrity Gogglebox

Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra have joined the ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ line-up.

The 73-year-old football manager and his beloved wife will put their feet up in front of the TV for the latest series of the Channel 4 show on June 5th.

Fans were left disappointed when ‘Gogglebox’ came to an end last week, but Channel 4 bosses were quick to announce the celebrity edition would be airing soon.

After one fan said they were "gutted it’s not back until September", Creator Tania Alexander replied: "There’s a catch up this Friday and then celeb for a couple of months. Thank you (sic)"

Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon, Denise van Outen and her partner Eddie Boxshall, Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, will all be returning for a new series of ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.

What’s more, ‘Love Island’ narrator Iain Stirling and presenter Laura Whitmore, boxer Nicola Adams and her partner Ella Baig, and Radio 2 DJ Zoe Ball and her son Woody Cook – who appeared on Channel 4 reality show ‘The Circle’ – will also be taking part in the star-studded programme.

The reality show, in which stars are filmed watching TV from their sofas while giving their opinions on various programmes, will shoot the upcoming series using rigid cameras during lockdown to allow the special guests to take part without any contact from crew.

It was previously reported Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt have signed up for a second series of ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.

The 45-year-old star – who was married to Liam Gallagher between 2008 and 2014 – and Melanie, 45, are said to have agreed a deal that will see them return to the sofa for the hit Channel 4 show.

A source explained: "Nicole and Melanie were hilarious when they gave the show a whirl and bosses were desperate to get them back."
