Neil Jones denies he’s gay after cruel Seann Walsh taunts

Neil Jones has denied he is gay after Seann Walsh taunted him about his sexuality.

In 2018, Neil’s then-wife Katya Jones, 31, was pictured kissing her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ celebrity partner Seann, 34, and the comedian later publicly goaded Neil about it by joking: "I’m the guy who kissed a gay man’s wife."

However, professional dancer Neil, 38, has insisted that although his mother always wanted him to be gay, he is straight.

He explained to The Sun newspaper: "In ballroom there’s a lot of straight guys. But mum was always like, ‘It’s a shame you’re not gay because we could go shopping together’.

"And I was thinking, ‘whether I’m gay or not there’s no chance, you take forever’."

While Neil and Katya remained together at first after she was spotted kissing Seann, they announced their marriage split 10 months later in a statement posted on Instagram.

The statement read: "Hi everyone. As our fans and loyal supporters you are really important to us and so we wanted to let you know some news. After 11 years we have made the mutual decision to separate.

"We will always love each other, just in a different way as friends. This will never change what a great team we make and we are really proud of everything we have achieved together.

"Our shared love of dance means we will keep working and dancing together as well as exploring individual projects. No matter what we do we will always support and respect each other.

"We wish one another every happiness and we will remain the best of friends. We are really looking forward to getting back to the ballroom and can’t wait to keep on dancing. Lots of love from us both xx (sic)"
