John Altman is looking for love

John Altman is single and looking for love.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star – who based known for playing Albert Square villain ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton – admitted while he doesn’t "mind living alone", he would still like to settle down with that special someone.
He said: "I’m single now and open to offers. I don’t mind living alone but I would love to share my life with someone."
The 68-year-old actor – who was previously married to Bridget Pouhan, with whom he has 34-year-old daughter Rosanna – added he isn’t just looking for a casual fling.
He explained: "If I embark on a relationship now I would hope it would be the relationship till the end of my time on this planet."
John and his ex-wife got divorced in 1999 after 13 years together, with his battle with drink and drugs having an impact.
The soap star has now been sober for a long time, and he wants to find love again – but he admitted there is one problem.
Speaking on Thursday’s episode (14.05.20) of ‘The Real Marigold Hotel’, he said: "I’m quite shy actually."
The BBC reality travel programme – which is loosely based on the 2011 comedy of the same name – has seen John joined by the likes of Britt Ekland, Susie Blake and Duncan Bannatyne as they explore India and decided whether retiring to the country would suit them.
He previously admitted the experience has given him a chance "to reflect over how the last 50 years I’ve changed, and an extraordinary time it’s been".
John’s ‘EastEnders’ alter ego Nick was killed off five years ago when on-screen mother Dot Cotton (June Brown) let her son die of a heroin overdose as she claimed she would let God decide his fate.
