Fiona Wade gets ‘giggly and girly’ during love scenes

‘Emmerdale’s Fiona Wade gets "giggly and girly" during love scenes.
The 41-year-old actress’ alter-ego Priya Kotecha has had a varied love life on the show, including a fling with Cain Dingle, a relationship with David Metcalfe, marrying Rakesh Kotecha and an affair with Pete Barton but Fiona admitted she doesn’t find steamy scenes easy to film.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I get very nervous before romantic scenes. I’m giggly and girly.
"You might not have seen that person for a month and then you’re kissing them."
Although Fiona has loved her seven years on the show, she hinted that she is ready for a change.
She explained: I’m happy there now. We’ll see. I’m very ambitious. There’s so much more to do.
"I’d like to have children. I’m aware there’s that space and time you have to grab to do."
Fiona tied the knot with former co-star Simon Cotton last year and the pair are currently in lockdown with her mother Tessie.
She explained: "Thankfully my life is a lot less dramatic than Priya’s.
"It feels great to be married. I’m so happy to be with the right person during these times. We’re having the best time.
"Simon and my mum are like best friends. We’re all taking turns to cook. It’s lovely."
