Fiona Wade: I’m lucky to be in lockdown with my husband

‘Emmerdale’ actress Fiona Wade is "lucky" to be in lockdown with her husband.
The 41-year-old soap star – who plays Priya Sharma on the ITV programme – has not been able to spend much quality time with her actor husband Simon Cotton since they tied the knot in late 2019 due to him being in a touring stage production.
Since isolation measures were put in place across the UK to stop the spread of coronavirus the newlyweds have been delighted to see each other every day.
She said: "We’ve gone from him being on tour and us not seeing each other at all, to suddenly being in lockdown together!
"He was away in Japan in the weeks leading up to our wedding, and then still on tour afterwards. We came to my mum’s for Mother’s Day, just before lockdown, and we’ve been here since. I do realise I’m in a very lucky position, though, so I’m thankful for that."
The couple have been staying with Fiona’s mum as they are yet to buy a home due to Simon’s busy schedule, and were planning to look at houses after his tour ended in February before the virus hit Britain.
She previously said: "Simon is on tour until February so we’re still deciding where we’re going to live and then we’ll buy somewhere."
Fiona is thankful her spouse and mother get one well as she is "loving" spending time with both of them, whilst making the most of the unprecedented period.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she added: "I think it’s important to make the best of your time in this situation, and I’m loving spending time with my husband and my mum. Luckily, they get on well!"
