Emmerdale to steam live music sessions

‘Emmerdale’ cast members have signed up to perform songs for ‘The Woolpack Sessions’.
The soap stars are taking part in a new live stream series where one member of the cast will take the stage to perform a song of their choice, which viewers can watch live on the ‘Emmerdale’ YouTube channel.
First to take the mic is Bradley Johnson – who has played Vinny since 2019 – who will sing Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ on Thursday (30.04.20).
Bradley said: "When I was asked to perform for ‘The Woolpack Sessions’ I was delighted. It’s a perfect opportunity to put a smile on peoples faces in such a strange time.
"Everyone loves a good sing song and I will find any excuse to get the piano out. Hopefully people will like it and it will entertain them. I hope everyone is staying well and staying safe."
Isobel Steele (Liv Flaherty) and Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor) will also be taking part in the live music series in the coming weeks.
The new format has been produced by the ITV soap’s own Digital Team to "harness the creativity" of the cast.
It comes after ITV made the decision to stop production of their soap operas following the government restrictions to battle the coronavirus crisis.
The broadcaster has also reduced the number of episodes aired each week to ensure the soap will be on screens until the summer.
‘Emmerdale’s’ Digital Producer, Richard Ellis thought it would be entertaining to create ‘The Woolpack Sessions’ in its place.
He added: "With filming stopped we thought it would be fun to harness the creativity of our cast under lock down. It’s been tricky getting the tech side of things sorted out but the cast involved are all really talented and we hope you will be impressed."
