Reese Witherspoon thinks it is important a man can "whisper" a girl’s name.
The 38-year-old actress – who is married to Hollywood agent Jim Toth and was previously wed to her ‘Cruel Intentions’ co-star Ryan Phillippe – was caught on camera at the Met Ball on Monday (05.05.14) by model Cara Delevingne giving out love advice to friends including Kate Upton and Zooey Deschanel.
In the clip, which has since been deleted from Cara’s Instagram account, she says: "[You know] what’s the most important thing in a name — for a girl? It’s that a man can whisper it into his pillow."
In the clip, which was recorded in an elevator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Reese had begun by declaring her love for the British model – but admitted she had problems pronouncing her name.
She said: "If you force me to say your last name, I’ll be f***ed. I love you Kara. Cara. I don’t know what your f***ing name is. That stupid French."
However, she then looked up from her cell phone straight into the camera and pronounced the 21-year-old model’s name perfectly.
Cara had uploaded the video with the caption ‘the confusion’, posting: "The confusion @reesewitherspoon @zooeydeschanel @tennesseebunny @kateupton #HAHAHAHA #loveyouladies (sic)"
