Iain Stirling announces free NHS comedy gig at Alexandra Palace

Iain Stirling has announced a free gig for NHS workers at Alexandra Palace.
The 32-year-old comedian – who had to postpone his ‘Failing Upwards’ live tour due to the coronavirus pandemic – will perform at the iconic London venue on November 22nd as part of his rescheduled run, and he has added an extra matinee show as a treat to people working for the National Health Service.
He said: "I’m excited to announce I’ll be filming my first Special with Amazon Prime at the Alexandra Palace Theatre.
"As a thank you all tickets to this show will be free and available to NHS staff, whose hard work and dedication on the front line of Covid 19 to help save lives has been truly amazing."
The ‘Love Island’ star will perform twice at Alexandra Palace with the special afternoon show taking place hours before his 7.45pm booking on the same night.
The two performances will be filmed as part of his previously announced Amazon Prime Video Special, which was originally set to be taped in Edinburgh.
NHS staff are also being offered free tickets for his postponed Edinburgh King’s Theatre gigs at 5pm and 7.30pm on the 28th March 2021.
The tour was initially due to kick off in March, but Iain is now set to start his tour with two shows at Bristol’s Redgrave Theatre on August 29.
In a previous statement, he said: "I’m really sorry to say that some of my upcoming tour dates are being postponed due to the current situation.
"This is due to venues temporarily closing, as per latest government advice."
