Maisie Smith is raffling hand-painted canvas for the NHS

Maisie Smith is raffling her hand-painted rainbow canvas to raise money for the NHS.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress – who has played Tiffany Butcher on the soap since 2008 – has been embracing her artistic side to cure her lockdown boredom, and she wants to do her bit for charity during the coronavirus pandemic.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I’ve been getting into painting because everyone is a bit bored at the minute.
"My dad came home recently and said he saw loads of rainbows in people’s windows for the NHS and I thought that was such a good idea."
The 18-year-old star has been handing out her creations, but now she’s come up with the idea of turning one into a prize to raise funds for a worthy cause.
She added: "For people like my grandad, he can’t really go out and buy art supplies and things, so I’ve been painting canvases with rainbows and the NHS on them to give out to people.
"I thought if I could maybe raffle one of my hand-painted NHS rainbow canvases and personalising it by signing the back, all the proceeds can go to the NHS."
The online raffle ends at 3pm on Friday (17.04.20) with tickets costing £1, and Maisie has been inspired by her cousin’s work on the frontline during the health crisis.
The soap star has also been doing her bit, revealing she’s been helping vulnerable people with their shopping.
Maisie recently admitted she has been feeling "a bit trapped" in lockdown and her anxiety has been "hitting the roof".
She recently wrote on Instagram: "If you’re feeling particularly down at the moment – don’t worry you’re not alone. It’s a scary time rn and tbh my anxiety is hitting the roof.
"Been feeling a bit trapped in my thoughts so I wrote this yesterday to heal my mind. I am so thankful to be home and well. I hope we all come out of this together; stronger. (sic)"
