Linda Lusardi ‘looked like she was dead’ during coronavirus hell

Linda Lusardi’s husband has said his significant other "looked like she was dead" as she battled coronavirus.
The 61-year-old star’s partner Sam Kane – who was also struggling with the respiratory illness – has opened up about seeing his wife in hospital after she was told by a doctor there was no guarantee she would survive.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (16.04.20), he said: "I kind of went into meltdown, thinking I was never going to see my wife again.
"I suppose, inadvertently, the doctor saying that to Linda could have potentially saved her life because by hook or by crook – an amazing nurse took me up to see Linda.
"When I walked through the door, I thought she was gone. She looked like she was dead. I sat her up in bed, realised that she was still with us and just spoke to her."
Sam revealed how he spoke to Linda about "positive" things – including their families and future plans – and he started to see "small steps every day" on her road to recovery.
He added: "I saw her lights come back on, and that was the moment that brought it back because I was talking to her, making it positive, bringing it round, talking about the kids, talking about our families and all the things we’ve got to look forward to.
"Slowly but surely, she came back, too, and from that moment I think there were such small steps every day. She got better and better."
His comments come after Linda admitted she feared she "wouldn’t make it" during her coronavirus hell.
She recently explained: "I think the second night I was there, Sam was taken downstairs because he’d tested positive – I’d tested negative first of all – and the doctor came in, he was washing his hands.
"I just said, ‘Am I gonna get through this?’ And he said, ‘Well I’ll be honest with you, I can’t promise anything. You’re 61 and we just don’t know what we’re dealing with.’
"At that point, I just thought I’d had it. I rang Sam or text him downstairs, ‘You better come up, I don’t know if I’m gonna make it.’ "
