Catherine Tate to reprise Lauren Cooper role

Catherine Tate is to reprise her role of Lauren Cooper for a new sketch with David Tennant.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ stars will join forces to act out a skit in which Catherine will star as schoolgirl Lauren, most famously known for her iconic catchphrase "am I bovvered?", and David will reprise his role as the gobby teen’s teacher in new BBC show ‘The Big Night In’.
Matt Baker, one of the hosts of the charity event, told ‘BBC Breakfast’: "Catherine Tate and David Tennant will be doing a sketch.
"We’re all into the home schooling thing at the moment (under lockdown) so Catherine Tate’s school pupil will be taught by David Tennant over video-calling.
"Who knows what that’s going to look like?"
David’s character will try to get Lauren to listen and learn while she is in self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic.
Catherine first introduced the nation to Lauren as a sketch in ‘The Catherine Tate Show’, which ran on the BBC from 2004 to 2007.She later landed the role of ‘Doctor Who’ character Donna Noble, a companion of the Tenth Doctor, who was played by David.
Catherine teamed up with David in 2007 for Comic Relief where he first played her helpless teacher, who lost his patience.
After being called out for looking like The Doctor, the character whipped out his sonic screwdriver and zapped Lauren into mini form.
‘The Big Night In’ is a collaboration between BBC Children In Need and Comic Relief, and will be hosted by Matt, Sir Lenny Henry and Davina McCall, among others, on April 23rd.
