Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace planned her funeral amid cancer scare

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace planned her own funeral amid a cancer scare.
The 41-year-old TV personality has revealed she considered having her ashes turned into a diamond when a cancer scare led her to think she was dying.
Aisleyne – who spent three weeks waiting for test results after experiencing severe stomach pains – said: "When they mentioned cancer, my blood ran cold.
"My mum died of cancer and it killed her brother three months later. I thought that was going to be my fate too. I thought I was going to die."
Aisleyne had five pieces of her stomach removed so that medical experts could examine them for cancer cells.
And Aisleyne admits the incident prompted her to think about her mum, who died aged 54 from breast cancer.
She told The Sun Online: "Then it was just a waiting game for the next three weeks.
"I started writing wills and thinking about who would get what. I tried holding onto hope, but I would Google things when I couldn’t sleep.
"I’d be awake in the middle of the night planning what would happen to my body. I wanted my ashes to be made into a diamond.
"But then I was worrying about where the diamond would be kept. I wanted it to be in a museum not just on a mantelpiece in a glass case.
"Then I’d start thinking what if technology advances and they can bring you back from the dead – how would they get my DNA? So then I decided I should just have a normal burial so if there’s any chance, then they can bring me back. That was where my thoughts went at 4am on a sleepless night."
However, Aisleyne’s test results eventually came back negative and the reality TV star admits the news prompted her to suddenly break down in tears.
She shared: "I don’t think I heard anything after the moment he said that it wasn’t cancer.
"It was literally like angels singing and harps playing. I cried, I hugged him. I felt such relief."
