Dani Dyer cried after her Our Girl audition went badly

Dani Dyer burst into tears during her failed audition for Michelle Keegan’s role on BBC drama ‘Our Girl’.
The 2018 ‘Love Island’ contestant – who is the daughter of ‘EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer – has recalled how she was left red-faced after the awkward try-out for the part of military medic Georgie Lane, before the former ‘Coronation Street’ actress won the gig.
Dani told The Mirror Online: "I cried in the room. I was like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing’.
"I was running an hour late and sweating. The nerves get on top of you.
"It is just this authority looking at you and you want this role so bad."
She added: "The speech we had to prepare was deep but she wanted it quite comical. I tried and I just cried."
Michelle, 32, has stepped back from the role after four years, with her final episodes set to air later this year.
The actress admitted it was a "very hard decision" to quit the show but she wants to look for new career opportunities.
She said: "I’ve had the most incredible four years on the show and I want to thank the BBC for giving me such an amazing opportunity.
"Playing Georgie has been a life changing role for me. I’ve loved every second of the adventure so it was a very hard decision to make not to return. I feel it is the right time to explore other exciting opportunities but I’m so happy to be part of the new series coming soon so it’s not the end just yet."
Producers are planning to continue the series – which starred Lacey Turner in the first run in 2014 – and are currently on the hunt for a new female lead.
