Pete Wicks slams ‘boring’ Mark Wright and isn’t expected him to make TOWIE return

Pete Wicks calls Mark Wright "boring" and doesn’t expect him back for the ‘TOWIE’ reunion show.
The 31-year-old star is looking forward to the ITVBe programme’s upcoming 10th anniversary episode, but he thinks the 33-year-old television presenter has tried to forget his reality TV past.
Speaking to MailOnline, he said: "Mark likes to distance himself now doesn’t he…? It’s a bit more unlikely. He’s boring."
Meanwhile, Pete admitted he’d love to see Joey Essex return to ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ for a one-off celebration, and Amy Childs would also be top of his list.
He added: "I would most like to see Joey Essex back. It would be great to have him back, I get on really well with Joe.
"Surely he’d be the one that most people would like to see back?
"Amy Childs is always a laugh, she’d be a good one to come back. Everyone has played their part in it over the years."
Mark – who starred in the first three ‘TOWIE’ series – hasn’t appeared on the show since 2012 Christmas special, but Pete’s comments come after reports he’s "given the green light" to a potential comeback.
A source recently said: "Mark and producers are in discussions and he’s excited to come back into the fold. It’s thought he may also film some scenes with his sister Jess Wright.
"It is early days but the former lothario has given the green light to a return for the very first time."
Mark – now a host for US showbiz programme ‘Extra’ – has been open in the past about the stigma faced by former reality TV stars.
He previously explained: "The positives of being in something like ‘TOWIE’ is that it gives you a step on the ladder.
"The negatives are that once you have that step and want to break away and turn it into a credible career, it’s not easy. There’s a stigma that goes with a reality star. I’m proud of it, but people think you’re just a reality star, and that you haven’t got talent."
