Shirley Ballas making documentary about breast implant removal surgery

Shirley Ballas is making a documentary about having her breast implants removed.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge underwent a four-hour operation to have her implants removed due to cancer fears in September, and she hopes sharing her story will encourage other women to do the same.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Although it’s been difficult for Shirley, she hopes sharing her experiences might inform women who are either considering having breast implants, or already have them."
The 59-year-old dancer – who had her boobs enlarged in 2002 – previously urged young women to learn to love their own bodies, rather than get "all these procedures".
She said: "Don’t think you need to have these procedures to make you look more attractive. For young women, if someone is making you feel bad about yourself, talk to someone. But don’t do what I did. You can’t make somebody love you, no matter what you do to yourself. You can get implants, you can get all these procedures, thinking you will be more of a woman for that person. But it does not make a difference. If they don’t love you, they won’t no matter what you do to your appearance. It’s learning to love yourself."
And for those still considering implants, the former Latin champion advised women to "do their research" into the possible risks.
She added: "Do your research about the implants. I did not do mine. I thought if I put them in I’d look better and my husband would think of me as more desirable.
"I made this choice many years ago not understanding what I was really doing, except telling myself I didn’t look good enough."
Shirley made the decision to remove her DD breast implants and embrace her natural A cup after she discovered a potentially dangerous capsule that had grown unexpectedly.
And the star is speaking out about her experience in order to encourage other women to think about the dangers associated with implants.
She said: "You can’t go into work with a DD boob one day then have an A or B the following week and pretend you never had implants. I already feel more comfortable. Especially with sleeping. The implants had started to feel heavy and cause me anxiety. It felt like they were not part of me.
"When I saw my little boobies, I thought, ‘There she is’. They’re lovely. They’re all a bit swollen but I’m pleased with the breast lift he gave me. And now I’m in the process of learning to love myself after all those years.
Even more so since being on Strictly because I have a platform to help others. If I could go back to my younger self, I would never have had the implants done. I feel relieved and I feel proud for removing them now."
