Good Morning Britain suffers Oscars ‘technical issues’

‘Good Morning Britain’ had to rush into an ad break due to "technical issues".
The ITV breakfast show was broadcast from Los Angeles for its post-Oscars coverage on Monday (10.02.20), but presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid had to push for a commercial break as sound problems affected the programming.
The duo – who were joined by guests including Dame Joan Collins, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, Perez Hilton and Rapman – had to cut off Mark Wright as producers headed for an ad break to try to fix the issues.
Piers said: "We’re just hearing, Mark, we’ve got a problem with your mic, we’ve got a problem with Sharon’s mic.
"Apparently at one stage we were hearing Joan and she’s not even here!"
The episode – which started with sound issues while Ross King’s Vanity Fair after-party coverage also went live without warning – even saw Sharon swearing when she didn’t realise her microphone was live.
Susanna joked: "You heard us at the top of the programme when we thought we were off-mic!"
Piers added: "Hearing Joan-Collins off-mic might be very entertaining. But just in case, we’ll take a short break for what we call ‘technical issues’ to be resolved."
The ad break didn’t help much, with the screen blacking out in addition to the Vanity Fair coverage appearing on TV, and the sound issues continuing.
Earlier in the show, Piers quickly said sorry after the former ‘X Factor’ judge Sharon was heard saying "such a f***ing".
He said: "We just have to make an immediate and early apology for some profanity that may have been heard earlier.
"You’ll be unsurprised to hear that Sharon Osbourne, it took her … well it’s 27 minutes into the show, three minutes into Sharon Osbourne’s appearance on the programme, and we’ve already got to air a formal apology."
