Eve Gale leaves Love Island

Eve Gale has become the first Islander to leave ‘Love Island’.
The 20-year-old student entered the villa with her twin Jess earlier this week, but in a dramatic recoupling during Friday’s (17.01.20) episode of the ITV2 reality show, she was the only single girl left and therefore became the first to be sent home.
Nas Majeed was left with the difficult decision of picking between the twins when all the other Islanders had finished coupling up, and explained that whilst he had gotten to know both of them well, he had spent more time with Jess, and so chose her over her twin sister.
Speaking before he picked his girl, he said: "First and foremost, I would like to say this is a very difficult decision for me. I have gotten to know both Jess and Eve very well over the past week, however, I would like to couple up with this girl because I feel like I’ve spent slightly more time with her and gotten to know her a little bit better. So the girl I’d like to couple up with is Jess."
After the decision was made, the 23-year-old builder added in the Beach Hut: "Sending Eve home has been the hardest decision so far. I’m normally cool calm and collected, but that really had me on ropes."
The twins – who are both students and both also work as VIP hostesses – then shared emotional goodbyes, and Eve insisted she wouldn’t let Jess quit the show without "trying" to find love first.
Jess asked: "What am I gonna do Eve?
"I’m gonna try it, is that okay?"
And Eve added: "Of course it’s okay! I wouldn’t let you leave without trying. I wouldn’t let you leave with me, you have to try."
Elsewhere in the recoupling, Mike Boateng chose to recouple with Leanne Amaning after Jess stole him away from her when she entered the villa, and Callum Jones went back to Shaughna Phillips after he was pinched by Eve.
New hunks Finley Tapp and Connagh Howard chose to couple up with Paige Turley and Sophie Piper respectively, and the latter left Connor Durman – who had been couple up with Sophie and was keen to keep going – fuming.
Connor instead chose to keep Siannese Fudge on the show, but insisted it was simply on a "friendly" basis, as he’s only interested in Sophie.
