Sir Mick Jagger sings song at L’Wren Scott’s memorial service

Sir Mick Jagger sung a song at the memorial service of his late girlfriend L’Wren Scott last night (02.04.14).

The Rolling Stones frontman sang Bob Dylan’s ‘Just Like A Woman’ as friends and family gathered at the private ceremony, held at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan, New York, to remember the late fashion designer.

The heartbreaking service opened with blessings and prayers, before L’Wren’s brother Randy and the Sir Mick, 70, spoke words of tribute.

Ellen Barkin, Sarah Jessica Parker and fashion personality André Leon Talley were among others to also share their memories of the brunette beauty.

L’Wren’s niece, Hannah Bambrough, and Mick’s son, James Jagger, 28, shared poems, while the singer’s grandchildren, Mazie and Zak, read out Psalm 23.

Julianne Moore, Meg Ryan, Olivia Munn, Renée Zellweger, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, and Mick’s bandmate Ronnie Wood were among those who attended the ceremony, while fans lined up outside to take photos.

A private funeral for L’Wren, who committed suicide in March aged just 49, took place at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, two months ago.

Her ashes have been divided between her family in Utah and, her partner of 13 years, Sir Mick.
