Gemma Collins bemoans fan hysteria

Gemma Collins claims she’s mobbed by fans wherever she goes.
The reality TV star admits the attention she receives has become so intense that she can’t go Christmas shopping without getting mobbed by fans – and she’s likened her own level of fame to that of Michael Jackson.
Gemma told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "I can’t go shopping like I did before I was famous. It has to be planned now. I can’t walk around a shopping centre.
"Even when I have four security guards with me, shoppers run towards me. It’s fun, but it’s difficult when you’re trying to get your bits.
"I believe it would be considered a safety risk. It would be death by kisses and hugs. People all want to hug me. They want to touch The GC!
"It has got to the stage like it did with Michael Jackson where my agent has to see if shopping centres will shut down for me."
Gemma’s fame has even started to impact members of her family.
The TV personality explained: "It is all very surreal. My mum gets the hump because she has always liked going shopping with me. She says, ‘I want to spend time with you on my own.’"
Meanwhile, Gemma recently admitted she likes to act like a billionaire by handing out £40 when she sees her pals.
The reality star believes her wealth comes from sending positive messages out into the universe.
Gemma said: "I walk around like I’m a billionaire, I believe in the universe, I never worry about money and that’s why money comes to me."
